Who is Haysto?

We’re an online mortgage platform that makes mortgages possible for people who struggle to get one. We specialise in bad credit, self-employed and complex mortgages.

Our platform develops a picture of the customer's situation and then matches them to a Mortgage Expert who can help them. Customers and Mortgage Experts both manage the entire process through our portal with live updates.

Since we launched in Q4 2020 we’ve been featured in The Sunday Times, The Telegraph, The Financial Times, The Sun, The Daily Mail and others. We’re on track to originate 2,500 mortgages this year.

This opportunity is only for candidates legally authorised to work and are based in United Kingdom.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for an experienced Front-end Software Developer, who specialises in building user-facing web applications and components in Vue & Nuxt js.

The primary focus of this role is to manage the Front-end process for the rebuild, maintenance and new feature releases of our in-house software, which includes a Customer Dashboard, bespoke CRM & team portal. Working closely with our Lead Software Developer, UX/UI Designers and CTO, team collaboration and strong communication skills will be a significant requirement for this role.

The successful person will have the following:

  • 3+ years of commercial Vue & Nuxt js experience

  • Strong working knowledge of modern Javascript development

  • Ability to build modular, reusable components and libraries and provide front-end architectural direction

  • Experience of writing unit/component/E2E tests with Cypress/Jest/Peeky.

  • Solid understanding of RESTful API integrations

  • Good understanding of UI/UX principles and understanding of user and developer experience

  • Experienced with version control (such as Git, GitHub)

  • Problem-solver and able to take an idea from concept to execution

  • Ability to articulate technical ideas/strategy to non-tech internal teams

  • Comfortable working in a fully remote role

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, start-up environment

Knowledge of the following would be advantageous:

  • Understanding of Laravel (7/8/9)

  • Experience developing custom CRM’s

  • Ability to optimise applications for performance

  • Experience building accessible applications

  • Working knowledge of Typescript

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working closely with the Lead Software Developer and CTO to strategically plan, improve and build the front-end of our applications and services

  • Participate in daily development standup calls and play an active role in supporting the team with shared knowledge and experience

  • Take ownership and implement the front-end best practices and processes across the company

Compensation:
