Michael leads content across Haysto, with a focus on specialist mortgage scenarios. He helps borrowers with more complex circumstances understand how lenders assess affordability, risk, and eligibility. A seasoned copywriter and editor, he’s been writing about mortgages and personal finance since 2012. Michael joined Haysto in 2024 and was closely involved in creating our mainstream sister brand, Picnic Mortgages, helping shape its content strategy and tone ahead of the site’s launch in 2025. Before moving into financial content full-time, Michael spent eleven years at HSBC Bank as a senior wealth manager, working both in the UK and internationally. During this time, he also served as a director of two HSBC Group subsidiaries and holds a Financial Planning Certificate from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
